To name a disk

1. Open My Computer, and then click the disk you want to name.
2. On the File menu, click Properties.
3. Type a name for the disk in the field following the disk icon.

• To change an existing label, select it, and then type a new name.
• If your computer uses the FAT file system, the label can contain up to 11 characters. If your computer uses NTFS, the limit is 32 characters.
